Elizabeth Hoover has been singing choral music since the age of 8, performing in school, community, and professional choirs. She received her Bachelor’s degree with a minor in vocal studies at UCSB, where she performed with the UCSB Collegiate Chorale and three other University ensembles. After receiving her teaching credential, she lived in Los Angeles, where she was a member of the William Hall and Los Angeles Master Chorales and was a soloist with various temples. After moving to Ventura, she joined Quire of Voices, an early music ensemble in Santa Barbara, and enjoyed many summers of touring in Eastern and Western Europe, with enthusiastic audiences in Russia, Prague, Budapest and elsewhere. She enjoys singing with the amazing musicians in Arete as well as the opportunity to perform choral works with the New West Symphony.
When she is not singing, teaching or directing she enjoys travelling and being outdoors. Elizabeth is married, with two beautiful step-daughters.
