Peter Carlson is delighted to be singing with the musicians of Areté. Influential teachers in his training as a lyric tenor include Florence Avery at Wheaton College, and Donald Hoiness at St. Olaf College; he has sung with choirs at both schools, as well as with such influential musical organizations as the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and both The Coventry Choir and the Renaissance Singers of All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, the largest Episcopal Church west of the Mississippi. He has sung both as a soloist and choir member, and has performed in operas and musicals in venues across the United States.
